Medicare Advantage

Medicare, bundled and simplified.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) rolls your hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage into one plan — often adding dental, vision, and hearing benefits Original Medicare doesn't include.

Best for
Age 65+

What’s typically included

Parts A & B

Everything Original Medicare covers — hospital and medical — in one plan.

Part D drugs

Prescription drug coverage usually built right into the plan.

Dental & vision

Cleanings, exams, and eyewear allowances many plans include.

Hearing

Hearing exams and aid allowances on many Advantage plans.

Out-of-pocket max

A yearly cap on what you pay — something Original Medicare lacks.

Extra benefits

Fitness programs and telehealth are common add-ons, plan depending.

Who it’s for

Medicare Advantage is for people who are eligible for Medicare — generally age 65 or older, or younger with qualifying conditions — and want more of their coverage in one place, often at a low or $0 monthly plan premium.

Because plans and networks vary a lot by county, this is where a local advisor earns their keep.

Key enrollment windows

  • Annual Election — Oct 15 to Dec 7 each year.
